"I love being creative! Music and design are my passions, and I have been filling my life with both since graduating from Brighton University with a degree in Product Design. For a while just I ran my own entertainment business and rock-pop band Silvermaker, marketing myself by day and becoming a rock-chick or leotard-clad Madonna by night. My roots are Belgian, but I have lived in the US and now the UK for a significant amount of time, and have developed a natural affinity for the English language. I quickly learned that a quirky design and some funky writing can go a long way and now I also enjoy adding verbal flair to The Brand Surgery's designs and ironing out any mistakes that pass under my watchful eye!"

If you were having a dinner party and could invite three famous people, who would they be?
Madonna to compare notes and pick her incredibly weird brain. It would also be interesting to see if she ate everything or did any sit-ups in between courses. Kelly Slater, just to talk about surfing of course. And Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII to whisk me away after dinner back to the Tudor times where I would give the Boleyn girls a run for their money in one of those really fab dresses. (But hopefully return with my head still attached to kiss Kelly Slater goodbye.)

What's the last book you read?
'The Kite Runner' by Khaled Hosseini. Gripping stuff that lets you see the Afghan culture from a different, more personal side.

What did you want to be when you were 10 years old?
A superstar.

What classes did you like in high school?
The Latin class when we translated the words of Caesar himself, in which he says that the Belgians were the bravest people he had ever fought. I am a closet geek, but don't tell anyone!

What would I find in your refrigerator?
Soymilk, blueberries, lots of veggies, soup, beef mince, chicken, eggs, cheese, ham, olives, beer and fancy cream-filled Belgian chocolates.
