The Brand Surgery has been carrying out lots of work for The Pan Asia Group this week, Carabao Thai Restaurant and Steak House in particular. Having designed The Pan Asia Groups website – including Carabao and Mr. Toys Flying Wok, we were asked to use our branding to create some unique and interesting products for the group.
Notice something different about the background to this blog? That’s what you’ll see when you pick up a menu at Carabao Thai Restaurant and Steak House. We have designed the paper for the menu’s at the restaurant and have produced sheets so that they can re-print their menus in-house whenever they need to make an amendment to prices or dishes – cost effective and simplistic.
The Brand Surgery have also been working on a Van wrap for the new Pan Asia Group vehicle. They wanted something which would stand out, but also look very sleek and professional. Check out our preview below and watch out for this work of art driving out and about very soon indeed.
Now The Brand Surgery brings you an exclusive; The Pan Asia Group is launching it’s very own loyalty card! The card will give holders exclusive offers and discounts at the 3 Pan Asia Group Restaurants – Carabao, Flying Wok and Tuk Tuk. The artwork for the card is now complete and can also be seen below. The Brand Surgery is also working on an upgrade to the Pan Asia Group website to accompany the card so that members can apply for a card online as well as check up on the latest available offers.
Keeping customer loyalty is very key to any successful company and we highly recommend you find a way to retain the business of your customers. Do you think membership cards could help your company?

The Brand Surgery has been designing away at the packaging for Proto Restaurant Groups new oil, ‘Costa Oil’ and it’s now nearly ready for it’s launch.
Proto Restaurant Group owner Andy Sparsis and his family have always been involved in producing high quality food and cuisine and over the last few years have been working hard to achieve European statorship for their land in Cyprus in order to produce ‘Costa Oil’ and as such the oil will be marketed here in the UK.
So here’s a little preview of some of the artwork we have been designing for the oil:
Proto Restaurant Group came to The Brand Surgery for this project as it is something very close to the heart of Andy Sparsis – the groups owner – and they needed a company they could trust to encapsulate the concept of the oil.
The Sparsis family believe the secret of the successful olive oil comes not only from the land, but from the centuries of people whom have devoted their lives to the nurturing and devotion to what they believe, and still believe in today and they wish you to enjoy this oil with your family and friends.
The Brand Surgery have worked closely with Proto on several other projects such as designing and developing their new website as well as continuous blogging as part of our successful SEO scheme so it seemed right for us to continue our fantastic working relationship through the birth of ‘Costa Oil’.
If you need some artwork, illustrations or package designs get in touch with Vicky Vaughan on 01903 824229 or email us at info@thebrandsurgery.co.uk

The Brand Surgery has been extremely busy over the last few weeks with logo designs, press releases, magazines, charity work and blogging and we thought it was about time we let you in on what your favourite award-winning branding agency has been up to!
Anyone celebrating the Royal Wedding this year? Why not come to the Royal Wedding Picnic on Broadwater Green? We have been organising the event as well as promoting it with our fantastic PR, not to mention coming up with a fantastic logo for the day! The event promises to be a special occasion with entertainment from Splash FM’s Simon Osborne and Dave Hunt, Children’s Entertainer Dave Benson Phillips and live music from last year’s Worthing Idol winner, Rebecca Buxton. The picnic and entertainment will be running from 4pm-9pm allowing you to watch the wedding at home and then enjoy the bank holiday in the sunshine with The Brand Surgery, Splash FM and Worthing Borough Council.
Speaking of Worthing Idol, with this year’s competition, The Brand Surgery is in the community again! We were so happy with the way last year’s competition went, we felt we had to get involved again this year! The date has yet to be announced but Worthing Idol is already looking for contestants so visit Talent Within You website (designed by The Brand Surgery) for more information. Make sure you keep checking our website as well, as we have some exciting news to announce in the coming weeks, watch this space!
Do you use the Stagecoach Coastliner buses? Yes? Well you’ve probably seen our work then! Our illustrations are all over the back of the buses and as part of our ongoing relationship with Stagecoach, we produce their magazines, aimed at providing bus users with offers, competitions and information about attractions along the coast. We have been copy-writing, designing, publishing and printing the Coastliner, Buzz East Sussex and Buzz East Kent magazines, covering a massive area from Margate to Portsmouth including places such as Canterbury, Rye, Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing (of course), Chichester and many more places between. You can find our latest magazines from April-September on all the Coastliner buses and in various tourist information centres and bus stops. We have also been putting our web design and development skills to use by launching the Coastliner 700 website.

Buzz East Sussex
In addition to all of this fantastic and exciting stuff, The Brand Surgery has been continuing with it’s normal high quality blogging services, keeping AVS Fencing and Proto Restaurant Group at the top of Google search results for their chosen search terms.

We have just been told the great news that the boss, Vicky Vaughan, has passed her NVQ Level 3 in Management. And if that’s not enough…
In January this year, The Brand Surgery decided to formalise its marketing experience and embark on the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing. This Diploma is an ‘Honours Degree’ course and we have 20 hours of reading and studying a week to swot up on, as well as intensive weekends once a month. So far we have been to Reading University and Gatwick Hilton for Managing Marketing and The Marketing Planning Process.
We have been busy benchmarking businesses against leaders in their field, calculating the funnel of activity (for example analysing website conversions), measuring marketing and e-marketing trends, calculating return on marketing investment, measuring innovation, and of course measuring the success of corporate identity.
As you are probably aware, The Brand Surgery, your No. 1 branding agency in Sussex, has always considered competitor research an essential part of the branding process, and it is pretty pointless starting a company re-brand without having a marketing plan to refer to.
So how do you know what perception your customers have of your business? Do you deliver value to your customers? Why should your customers buy from you? What makes your business stand out from the rest? Is your website working hard enough for you?
We can help you to promote your USP (unique selling point) using our combination of innovative ideas and formal marketing training.
Call Vicky on 01903 824229 for an informal chat.
The Brand Surgery are now members of The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
