2010 saw Worthing Business Awards’ most celebrated accolade awarded to Bennett Griffin partner and eminent local business pioneer, Peter Bennett. As someone who has been so outstanding in the local business community, Peter also dedicates a vast amount of his spare time to the wider community, as Mayor of Worthing from 1993 to 1994, Chair of the Connaught Theatre Trust, and a Councillor on the Worthing Borough Council for 24 years – to name but a few.
Further to his being granted the Worthing Lifetime Achievement in Business Award, Peter Bennett was then put through to the celebrated Southern Business Awards, for the same award category.
Seeking the finest in business achievements from across the entire Southern region, the Southern Business Awards gathers every single winner from business awards in Worthing, Brighton, Portsmouth, Chichester, and more.
The Lifetime Achievement in Business Award aims to recognise an individual who has made a major contribution to their business and to the business reputation of the area, and so there can be few candidates more apt for the accolade than Worthing’s own Peter Bennett.
The Brand Surgery were ‘thrilled’ to have sponsored the award; Vicky Vaughan of the Brand Surgery said:
“Peter Bennett is a well-deserved winner; he has done so much for the Worthing Community as well as being as successful businessman. We aspire to Peter’s success.”
The award-winner himself labelled the Lifetime Achievement Award “a tribute” to the Worthing and Adur business community:
“It is business people who make a difference to jobs; prosperity, ambitions and aspirations for the whole community. I am very proud of this recognition but it would not have been given to me without the teamwork, support and encouragement of many others.”

We've been shortlisted for The Southern Business Awards
It’s award time again! We’ve been shortlisted for the Southern Business Awards in the Small Business category which takes place at The Grand Hotel in Brighton on 3rd September 2010. We have some stiff competition as we are up against Denton Motors in Worthing, Newhaven Enterprise Centre, Shopper Anonymous, St Leonards-on-Sea and Cake Box in Hastings.
We are proud to of been shortlisted, and wish the best of British to all the companies that have also been shortlisted, particularly our client Proto Restaurant Group who are shortlisted for Employer of the Year.
You may remember that last year we were awarded the Business Marketing and Promotion Award 2010 in the Worthing Business Awards. We are very proud of our achievement and put it down to our ethos in business which is:
