Charity website design for Springboard Project in Horsham
As with all charities, they need to demonstrate that money has been invested wisely. They briefed us to design and develop a charity website to be attractive to both parents and their children. Springboard Project requested that the website was designed in WordPress.
We delivered a fun-themed website following Springboard’s corporate identity. The client had requested:
- Ticker tape facility for messages along the top
- Some form of movement to engage the children
- WordPress so they can keep the website updated at low cost
- Reliable hosting solution
We delivered all of the within our standard six week turnaround within time and budget. We created some code so that the navigation elements moved when users hovered their mouse over.
This website was designed in 2012 and since then website design has dramatically evolved and many themes require less plug-ins which have a history of conflicting and causing trouble when they are updated. WordPress websites these days come with parallax effects and are responsive so they fit on mobile devices, this also helps with SEO.
